In our Double Bill tonight we pay
tribute to Fats Waller and Fats
Domino featuring Dr. Don's Double
Dose who have come from Sydney
especially for tonight's show. Don
Hopkins (piano) and Rob Grosser
(drums) are two men who sound like a
whole band as they tear through the
great songs of Fats Waller (Ain't
Misbehavin', Honeysuckle Rose,
Somebody stole my gal) and Fats
Domino (Blueberry Hill, Blue Monday,
Walkin' to New Orleans) plus an
earthy mix of boogie, country blues
and soul.
In the second part of the Double
Bill we feature the Harmony in
Paradise Chorus, a group of
ladies who specialise in singing
four part a cappella music. Tonight
the emphasis will be on the
Christmas season.
